As Spring has come slowly into its season, its surprising how this amazing herb just rises up from the garden, to reveal itself. It has so many benefits that we are not even aware of.

Lemon Thyme contains an active principle that known to have disease preventing and health promoting properties.

Thyme contains thymol, one of the most important essential oils, it has been found scientifically to have an antiseptic, and anti fungal characteristics. The other volatile oils in thyme include, caracole, borneol, and geraniol.

Thyme contains many flavonoid antioxidants. Fresh thyme herb has one of the highest antioxidants levels among herbs, packed with minerals and vitamins that are essential for optimum health, its leaves are one of the richest sources of potassium, iron, calcium manganese, magnesium, and selenium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure. Manatees is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide distaste, Iron is required for red blood cell formation.

Thym herb is also a rich source of many important vitamins such as B-complex, beta carotene, vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin E, vitamin C, and folic acid.
